How your details are used
When you pick up a loyalty card you give the shop your name, and your email address if you choose to. The shop holds that, along with how many stamps you have collected and when you last visited.
What it is used for
Running the loyalty scheme: showing your card, adding stamps, and giving you your reward. If you ticked the box, the shop may also email you about offers.
Who can see it
Staff at the shop you collect from. Each shop sees only its own customers. We never sell your details or pass them to anyone else.
How long it is kept
Until you ask for it to be deleted, or until your card has been unused for two years.
Stopping emails, or deleting your details
Ask at the shop, or email hello@boxofcards.co.uk. You have the right to see what is held about you, to correct it, and to have it deleted.
Cookies
One cookie, which holds a random number so this phone knows which card is yours. Nothing is tracked across other websites and there is no advertising.
The map
The map on the 'where you can collect' page is drawn by OpenFreeMap from OpenStreetMap's data, so your device fetches the map squares from OpenFreeMap. If you tap use my location, where you are is worked out by your own phone and used in the page to sort the list. It is not sent to us and it is not stored. If you type a town or postcode instead, that text is sent to us and passed on to OpenStreetMap to turn into a point on the map - nothing else about you goes with it.
Box of Cards runs the software; the shop is responsible for the details it collects.
